After running 5 spades, South led a low club at trick 6 and West played the 9 from ♣ Q 10 9 5 (having discarded the 3). Declarer won the ace and ducked a club revealing the winning finesse against West, and +1440. If West had played the ♣ 5 at trick 6 declarer would likely have gone wrong 14 IMPs for Jack |
